AMU clears air about Muzammil Hussain

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) today refuted the media reports suggesting that a student, Muzammil Hussain has been missing.

Prof Abu Talib (Chairperson, Department of Geology, AMU) clarified that Hussain joined Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd (MECL) as an assistant geologist after qualifying the GATE exam in 2016. He added that Hussain has been working with MECL, Seminary Hill, Nagpur since October 17, 2016.

AMU categorically states that the information carried by a section of media is misrepresentation of facts, which can create a great deal of misunderstanding.

The University takes exception to these newspaper reports which carried unverified and unauthentic information.
