BSF braveheart Guranam Singh injured in Pak firing, dies

The Border Security Force (BSF) constable Guranam Singh, who was injured in Pakistani Firing in Harinagar sector of Jammu and Kashmir, died on Sunday.

On October 21, when the ceasefire violation and infiltration was attempted by the Pakistani rangers and terrorists, BSF Jawan Gurnam Singh was hit in a sniper attack by Pakistani forces. In the retaliatory firing, seven Pakistani Rangers and a terrorist was killed by the BSF.

As per media reports, Gurnam’s mother Jaswant Kaur was proud of her martyred son. “He told me not to cry if dies and I will not cry on his martyrdom. It is a proud moment,” she said in a cracking voice.

The officials twitter account of Border Security Force (BSF) posted a tweet to confirm the death of BSF constable Gurnam Singh: “BSF trooper injured in #snipingincident at Hiranagar(Jmu) breathed his last yesterday night.His martyrdom will always be an inspiration”
