Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday urged the members to ask specific questions and the ministers to be precise with their answers.
“It was decided unanimously in the Business Advisory Committee that we should take up at least 10 questions every day. But we have been able to only take up six questions today,” Naidu said at the end of the Question Hour.
“I would like to request the members to be crisp with their questions and also the ministers should give to-the-point answers so that we are able to take up more questions,” he said.
Sometimes, the members ask very long questions, prompting the Chair to intervene with “What is your question? Please ask the question”.
