AAP Punjab chief Chhotepur sacked after alleged corruption came to light

On the allegations of accepting bribe from the candidates, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has sacked its Punjab Chief Suchcha Singh Chhotepur on Friday.

Many AAP leaders in Punjab have sent a letter to AAP Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal demanding to sack Chhotepur immediately  as party has zero tolerance policy towards corruption.

It was also reported in media, that along with the letter the AAP leaders have sent a clip to Kejriwal which is claimed to be of Chhotepur accepting bribe from the candidates to assign constituencies.

Chotepur has denied the allegations leveled against him and also demanded to show the sting. He said it is a conspiracy hatched against him by own partymen.

Chhotepur has been part of Akali Dal and the Congress in Punjab, before joining AAP. He fought the 2014 Lok Sabha election as an AAP candidate from Gurdaspur.
