Samajwadi Party President and former Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav has hinted to go in alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for the Lok Sabha Election 2019. He indicated that if BSP Chief Mayawati wants to make an alliance with the Samajwadi Party for the Lok Sabha election 2019, he is ready to do it.
While participating in a public program in Surat, Akhilesh Yadav said that if Mayawati is ready for the coalition in the Lok Sabha elections, then he is also ready to join hands with BSP.
He told media that, We are socialist people, and ready to go alliance with everyone (except BJP). If Mayawati is ready then we can enter into an alliance. But as of now, it is difficult to say anything on this.
This statement of Akhilesh has increased the speculations and it is believed that both the parties could be seen together stand the BJP in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Akhilesh’s statement has created a stir in the political corridor and has indicated a major reshuffle in coming days.
It is worth mentioning that if the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party will jointly challenge the BJP, the difficulty for BJP may increase in Uttar Pradesh. Now the ball is in BSP Supremo’s court.
However sometime back, BSP chief has already announced that her party will not go into any alliance with any party for Lok sabha elections and they will contest elections alone.
