Aligarh Muslim University students demand Rs 50 lakh compensation for Chandan’s family

Members of the Aligarh Muslim University Students Union have raised the demand for Rs 50 lakh compensation to Chandan Gupta’s family, who was killed in Kasganj violence. Union members met the IG Range (Aligarh) and also demanded the arrest of the absconding accused of Aligarh violence.

According to media reports, Aligarh Muslim University Students Union Students said that they have demanded from the UP police to arrest the accused as soon as possible. Student leaders said that we appeal to Yogi Adityanath govt to grant a compensation of Rupees 50 lakhs to Chandan’s family members, as well as to the other victims too.

Notably, the UP police has arrested Salim, the main accused in Kasganj violence and sent him to jail while the two other accused Wasim and Nasim are still absconding. On Twitter, UP police has shared the picture of Kasganj and said that the situation in the area is normal now.
