BJP ready to lend helping hand to Nitish, Lalu digging old issues

Soon after the resignation of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has threatened to raise the murder case on him while the BJP has extended its support for the formation of Government in Bihar.

The resignation of Nitish Kumar was expected soon as in the recently concluded Presidential elections he supported the NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind while the opposition UPA fielded Meera Kumar as a candidate.

Soon after Nitish Kumar’s resignation Lalu Prasad Yadav interacted with media and said last night he had a discussion with Nitish for over 40 minutes and during that discussion, there were no talks regarding resigning from the post of chief minister.

In the meeting, he asked Lalu to clarify the corruption allegations on Tejaswi Yadav in the public domain as media has made this an issue. On this Lalu told Nitish that he will answer to the authorities in the Tejaswi case.

Speaking for the further he said in the year 1991 a case of Section 302 and 307 of Murder was registered against Nitish Kumar. We knew about it but never made this an issue. He said atrocities are the bigger issue done corruption.

Meanwhile, BJP State president Sushil Modi while talking to media said they are not in favour of early elections in Bihar so the BJP I decided to extend support to Nitish Kumar for the formation of Government in Bihar.

The unconfirmed sources close to JDU said that some of the leaders are considering the BJP’s offer. However, no official announcement is being made so far.
