Candidates filed petitions in High Court on election results for 20 assembly seats in Gujarat

The Gujarat assembly elections are surrounded with controversies again. Now candidates have challenged the election results of 20 Assembly seats, for which they have filed petitions in court.

In these 20 seats, Congress candidates had won four while the BJP candidates in remaining 16 seats.

Elections were held in December last year for 182 seats of Gujarat assembly. The petitions have been filed for the seats of Jamalpur-Khadia, Patan, Gandhinagar (N), Botad, Dholka, Himatnagar, Varchha Road, Limayat, Gariyadhar, Godhra, Danilimada, Santrampur, Mandvi, Porbandar, Waghra, Matarar, Dabhoi, Kamraj and Devbari Dwarka seats.
