Bollywood actor, Abhay Deol, on Thursday has taken a dig at Modi govt, for its stand on banning Pakistani actors in India. Deol fearlessly, spoke against the stand of the govt, which bans artist but allows businesses to flow, between the two countries.
Abhay took a jibe at the central government and said that did not take the central government seriously.
He said, “If you want to ban anything to do with Pakistan, then go the distance. Don’t just ban the filmmakers, then ban imports, exports etc. When you do half a job, no one is going to take you seriously. I don’t take the Govt seriously.”
“Right now it’s not looking like you mean it, it just looks like it gets you a lot of publicity and makes noise. I will support if you think banning anything to do with Pakistan is going to help our jawans,” he added.
His comments come just two days after noted film-maker Anurag Kashyap slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his silence on the harassment caused to the film-makers such as Karan Johar.
Multiplex owners in four states have refused to release Karan’s Diwali release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
