IOTT will replace the Guard`s Bogie at tail of Goods Train

Soon there would be no guard Bogie in the Goods train of Indian Railways. The Railways would substitute this traditional method, for knowing that all the coaches are connected while train is running.

At the end of the train there will be a system attached naming End of Train Telemetri (IOTT) and that will help in establishing communication between the engine driver and last boggie.

Member Railway Board (Rolling Stock) Hemanth said the Indian Railways has approved 100 crore for the purchase of this machinery. IOTT system`s specification has been prepared and soon the tenders for it will be released.
