IPL 11 auction: Chennai Super Kings retains MS Dhoni, Chris Gayle remains unsold

The Players’ auction for the 11th season of Indian Premier League continues in Bangalore today. The Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 5.2 crore, while the West Indies batsman Chris Gayle is yet to be bought by any franchise.

The IPL auction will continue till Sunday, in which franchise owners of 8 teams will bid for 182 players. So far Ben Stokes is the most expensive player, who has bought by Rajasthan Royals for 12.5 crores.

In this season the highest base price in the auction is Rs 2 crores, which includes about 36 players. On the other hand, the base price of 1.5 million and 75 lakhs and 50 lakhs has also been kept.

The auction has 18 players have been retained including Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja by Chennai Super Kings, Rishabh Pant, Chris Morris, Shreyas Iyer by Delhi Daredevils, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jaspreet Bumrah by Mumbai Indians , Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Sarfaraz Khan by Royal Challenge Bangalore, Sunil Narine, Russell by KKR, David Warren, Bhuvnesh Kumar by Sunrisers Hyderabad, etc.
