JNU student goes missing after a spat with ABVP activist

Najeeb Ahmad, a student of JNU is missing since two days after a confrontation with an ABVP activist Vikrant at Mahi Mandavi hostel.

According to the students, Vikrant, an ABVP activist had come to Mahi Mandavi hostel on Friday, where Najeeb resides, for a campaign and had a confrontation with him. After which Vikrant called a bunch of students who are members of ABVP and they all started beating Najeeb.

After which JNUSU President had to intervene and accompanied Najeeb to the Warden of the hostel. It is alleged that they did not stop there and again started beating Najeeb in front of the Warden.

Some students had organised a protest last night and demanded that the JNU administration files an FIR. Students say that the administration has not taken any action in this case.

Students have also said that anti-Muslim hate messages like, ‘Muslims are Terrorists’ and ‘Mullo ko Pakistan bhejo’ have also been written by someone at different walls and tables of Mahi Mandavi Hostel.
