Former Supreme Court judge, Justice Markandey Katju has slammed Maharshtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Raj Thackeray’s party, for issuing threats to Pakistani artists to leave India post Uri attacks. Katju has even suggested people to file a PIL against the those who have threatened Pakistani artists to leave India, in which he is willing to give his legal advice.
Justice Katju wrote on his Facebook page, “I suggest that a PIL should be filed immediately in the Supreme Court or the Bombay High Court against those shameless rascals who have told Pakistani artists to leave India. This must be done immediately as only 48 hours time has been given to Pakistani artists to leave. I am willing to give legal advice in this connection pro bono to anyone willing to do this. My email id is firstname.lastname@example.org.”
In his previous post, Katju wrote, “Those who issued threats to Pakistani artists to leave India are shameless rascals who have disgraced the nation, Earlier these rascals had attacked Biharis and U.P.ites living in Mumbai, just to create a vote bank. in a move which could have balkanized the country.”
In another post, Justice Katju wrote, “Sanghis have no brains, and are feudal minded bigots with no scientific ideas. They are mostly rabidly anti Muslim, and I dislike such people, just as I dislike Muslim bigots.”
Mahira Khan plays the lead role opposite SRK in ‘Raees‘, while Fawad Khan is in Karan Johar’s “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, which is slated to release next month, Fawad is in a supporting role.
The MNS’ aggressive stance came in the wake of the September 18 terror attack in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir, which left 18 Indian soldiers dead. “This is not a veiled threat.. This is a direct challenge to producers like Karan Johar who promote Pakistani artistes. We are writing to all production houses asking them not to give work to Pakistani artistes,” Shalini Thackeray said.
