Kasganj Violence: Miscreants continue to put fire in shops, internet services shutdown

After communal violence in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh, the tension is still intact. On Sunday morning, the rioters set fire to some shops once again, though the police immediately fire rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire.

The Kasganj police have arrested 50 people so far in connection with the riots including VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi but the small incidents are taking places every day.

The District Magistrate Kasganj says that the situation is being monitored round the clock and Section 144 has been imposed in the city so that it can be controlled.
To stop the rumours, the local administration has discontinued internet services in Kasganj and people are being urged to ignore rumours and maintain peace.

In Kasganj communal violence, the politicians have not helped the administration on controlling the situation instead they were seen fanning the flames. VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi was stopped from entering the district however, BJP MP Rajveer Singh was witnessed giving hate speech and showing solidarity with majority community.
