Om Puri’s comments on Army lands him in trouble

A police complaint has been filed against Bollywood actor Om Puri for allegedly “insulting” the Indian Army during a TV debate at Andheri police station in Mumbai.

Om Puri supported the Pakistani artistes working in the India. He said, “Did we force them to join the army? My father was also in the army… We are proud of them (soldiers)… I am asking you: Do you want India and Pakistan to become Israel and Palestine?”

“I don’t give a damn to Salman Khan or some other Khan… Go to Modiji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) and cancel their (Pakistani actors’) visas. Prepare 15-20 people as suicide bombers and send them to Pakistan.”

According to the Andheri police officials, a formal written complaint has been filed not an FIR.

Mean while Om Puri has apologised to the families of the martyrs and even said that he is ready to face any punishment.
The senior police inspector of Andheri police station informed that complaint application has been received and the police will see into the matter as per the law.
