According to the sources, the military analyst Lieutenant General retired Amjad Shoaib has stated on a private news TV channel about General Raheel’s appointment, that there is a consensus among Pakistan military on General Raheel Sharif’s appointment. General Amjad said that the army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has contacted Saudi Arab, Iran and UAE and assured that Saudi-Military alliance would not be used against Iran or Yemen.
Lieutenant General retired Amjad Shoaib further stated that assurance has been given to Iran by the G.H.Q that Saudi-Military alliance will not be used against Iran or Yemen. He has also mentioned the recent meeting between army Chief Qamar Bajwa and the Iranian ambassador that Pakistan will never be the part of any military alliance against Iran. According to him through General Raheel Sharif Pakistan, will help to reduce ongoing tension between Saudi Arab and Iran.
