People’s trust on Indian government and media reduced reveals Global Trust Index report

In an annual Global Trust Index report by World Economic Forum, it has been revealed that people’s trust in the Modi government and Media has declined. In this report, India was on the top place last year but this year, India has dropped two steps to third place. This means that the confidence of the people in the Modi-led government has declined.

According to Navjivan’s report, this year, China has topped the Trust Index of 2018 issued by Communication Marketing firm Edelman. The combined government, media, NGO and business, India’s trust rating has dropped 13 points.

India’s rating for doing business has also declined and India was inducted into the least trusted countries in terms of setting up business headquarters. As per the report, many problems occur while doing business in India. The confidence of the people has also diminished from the media and this year India’s media rating has dropped by five points.

According to the report, Mexico is on the top of the list of least trusted countries. This year, America’s rating has been drastically declined and it has been listed amongst the worst countries.
