Rajnath, Gadkari inaugurate Lucknow Outer Ring Road, with empty seats

The 5,000-Crore, 94-Kilometer long stretch of road outside the boundaries of Lucknow was inaugurated on 16th Sept when the foundation laying ceremony was initiated by BJP’s Rajnath Singh and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

The event was much hyped in the media when announcing the ceremony and much was prepared anticipating huge crowds to flood the event.

Surprisingly, seating arrangements for approximately 5,000 people largely went unoccupied, people leaving the event midway, with barely a thousand people left at the end of the ceremony.

This seems to be a new low for BJP in UP’s capital where huge crowds for political showcasing are not a rare occurrence, while such absence of the people from a hyped project certainly raises questions about the credibility of BJP in Lucknow.
