Ready to face trial for my remark on RSS, says Rahul Gandhi

Vice President of Indian National Congress Mr. Rahul Gandhi said he won’t take his statement of RSS’s involvement in Mahatma Gandhi’s murder back and is ready to face trial in an ongoing Criminal Defamation case against him.
At a political rally in 2014, Rahul Gandhi in his speech alleged that RSS men were behind Mahatma Gandhi’s murder. After which there was a Criminal defamation case filed against him. Mr Gandhi stood by his remark that he wasn’t referring to the whole organisation but only to some men who were part of the organisation at that time.
On the other hand, RSS advocate U.R. Lalit said that before any election, Congress have repeatedly blamed the whole organisation for Mahatma Gandhi’s murder to gain minority votes. The court also refused to grant Mr. Gandhi exemption from appearance in the trial.
