Son of BJP Leader Booked for Rape in MP

Son of a local BJP leader son has been booked for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman in Tikamgarh town of Madhya Pradesh. The woman is a C of the accused, police said on Wednesday.

Accused has been identified as Ajay Singh (35), son of Mahesh Sahu, Lidhora Tehsil BJP Mandal Vice President. Singh has been booked yesterday for raping the woman, police said.

According to the police, Ajay and the victim, who hailed from Tikamgarh town, worked at a private establishment.

As per the complainant, the accused offered to drop her at her residence after office hours. He then raped her at a deserted place at Lidhora area on Saturday.

Ajay has been booked under section 376 (rape) of IPC and further investigations are on. Driver has also been booked, who was at the wheels during the crime, under section 34 (act done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC, police said.

A man hunt has been launched to nab the accused.
