Tiranga yatra led to communal violence in Kasganj, one dead

On the occasion of Republic Day in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh, there has been a fierce clash between the two communities.

This incident happened when the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and workers of the Hindus organizations were taking out Trianga Yatra. In this deadly battle, youth has died due to bullet injuries and there are reports of many people including police officials getting injured.

On Friday morning the ABVP and the activists of Hindu organizations were carrying out Tiranga Yatra and when they reached the Muslim areas, they started shouting slogans of Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai. In a way, they tried to provoke others, following which the matter became serious and the two sides started fiercely sloganeering.

Within some time, the sloganeering turned into a stone pelting, forcing the ABVP members to leave their vehicles and run away. Shortly after the firing began between the two sides and Chandan Gupta, a resident of Shivwaale Railway Road, died due to the bullet injuries, while Prince and Naushad were reported to be injured.

On getting information about the clash, officials of district and police administration rushed to the spot and tried to calm the crowd. Throughout the day, curfew was imposed now the situation is under control.
