Vishal Dadlani to quit active politics

Aam Aadmi Party celebrity supporter Vishal Dadlani has got himself involved in a recent controversy where he mocked Digambar Jain guru Tarun Sagar on Saturday.

The music director and singer, tweeted mocking Digambar Jain monk Tarun Sagar for giving a speech in Haryana Assembly, naked.

Dadlani tweeted the following:

As soon as Dadlani tweeted others along with Jain community pounced in support of Digambar Guru and criticised him. Dadlani immediately came forward in his defence, apologised and also appealed not mix religion and politics.

On the other hand, AAP Chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted to praise the Jain monk and informed that his family deeply respects Tarun Sagar.

Satyender Jain, a Delhi minister too apologised on Dadlani’s behalf:

A Twitter user, has claimed that he has filed an online complaint against Dadlani and Tehseen Poonawalla with the Delhi police.

Following huge criticism, Dadlani on Twitter announced that he was quitting from all active political work and affiliations.
